A CHINESE EXPORT BLACK AND GILT-LACQUER DRESSING-MIRROR
Circa 1715
The later rectangular plate within a molded surround with vine decoration surmounted by a scrolled arched cresting decorated with fantastic creatures and cloud scrolls, flanked by ring-turned supports, the slant lid with views of a mountain village, enclosing three arched pigeonholes and drawers, above a shaped long drawer with cinnabar lacquer compartmentalized interior, on later bun feet, the inside, sides and main drawer with foliate and bird decoration, each side set with a bail handle, lock replaced
