In the manner of Gillows, basically late 18th century and adapted
The half-galleried, crossbanded rectangular top with bowed front edge above a frieze with raised central panel, on square tapering legs with spade feet, bearing a typed paper label of Phillips of Hitchen, Ltd., Hertfordshire and EXHIBITED AT THE/ANTIQUE DEALERS' FAIR/PARK LANE W.1./1970, the oval inlay possibly a later embellishment, the front legs formerly with two shelves but with no corresponding holes to back legs, the back later veneered
32½in. (82.5cm.) high, 53in. (134.5cm.) wide, 15½in. (39.5cm.) deep
