An exhibition standard 4in. scale model of the Allchin four shaft, two speed General Purpose Traction Engine Serial No. 3252 built by Geo. S. Stubbs,
with welded steel boiler with expanded in copper tubes built by a coded welder and tested to 200psi, with fittings including water and pressure gauges, safety, blower, injector, water lift, clack and blowdown valves; engine details include cylinder 3in. bore x 4in. stroke, footplate controlled draincocks and pipework, trunk type crosshead guide, mechanical and displacement lubricators, Stephenson's link reverse, working belt driven Pickering governor, eccentric driven feed pump and by-pass, bolted, strapped and wedged big end, two road speeds and spoked flywheel; chassis details include sprung front axle, spud pan, spoked, straked wheels with brass hub caps, worm and roller chain steering, footplate controlled damper, cable drum, cable and fairleads, water lift and suction pipe, band brake to third shaft, injector, wooden footboard with toolbox under, and other details, finished in maroon, red, black and polished brightwork -- 17½ x 25½in. (44.5 x 64.8cm.)
