A Vincennes bleu-lapis two-handled cup, a cover and a lobed stand (gobelet a lait et soucoupe)
1755, cup and stand with blue interlaced L's enclosing date letter C and painter's dagger mark for Evans, incised 4 to cup
The cup with tapering sides, the loop handles with foliage terminals, painted with exotic birds in flight and carrying small branches, within cartouches edged with gilt trailing flowers, the stand similarly decorated, the shallow domed cover with a carnation finial enriched with gilding, gilt dentil rims (stand with chip to footrim and chip to underside of rim with associated crack, slight chipping to foliage of finial and slight rubbing to gilding)
