A Sevres blue-ground cup and saucer
Circa 1795, blue Sevres R/F marks, both with unidentified painter's mark and gilder's mark LG for Le Guay, incised 46 and 18 to cup and 46 to saucer
Reserved with oval gilt-edged medallions painted en grisaille with landscape vignettes between gilt scrolling foliage, the borders painted in purple camaieu with figures and buildings in continuous landscapes within gilt dentil rims, the cup with a scroll and anthemion handle (very minor scratching to saucer)
