Modelled by J.P. Melchior, as a man in a black hat and pale-blue cloak playing the fiddle before a tree-stump, his younger companion in a plumed cap, seated on a barrel and playing the bagpipes flanked by a boy playing the triangle and a girl seated on the ground drinking from a tankard, wearing pale yellow, pink and green striped or plain clothes, on a shaped grassy mound base (minor damage to extremities of instruments and to fiddle player's thumb, restoration to end of bagpipe)
