Circa 1715
Of slender pear-shaped form, the shoulders applied with female masks with headdresses and above foliate scrolls enriched with gilding, on an oval foot moulded with radiating gilt gadroons (reduction and slight chipping to the rim, one chip to the foot, rubbing to the gilding)

Lot Essay

The 1721 inventory of the Palais zu Alt-Dresden includes under Braun Sächss Porcelain, no. 47 2 (bouteillen) do. etwas vergoldte, davon 1. stk. mit 2 Pallas Köpffgen belegt ist...6½. Z: hoch und 4. Z: in diam. which is most probably the present lot.
