the black ground embroidered in brightly coloured silks with a central medallion surrounded by four large floral boteh amongst further flowers, the borders with slanting boteh, Indian, late 19th century --148cm square; and another shawl, the white cotton ground embroidered with bright pink and green floss silks with floral motifs, arranged in rows at each end and forming stellar medallions to the centre, incorporating mirror work, Sindh, late 19th century--120cm x 214cm (2)
