1 dozen bottles per dozen
Details
The following private collection of the wines of Château Musar,
Lots 1 - 249, is remarkable both due to the rarity of the vintages offered and for the amount of wines on offer.
All the wines were purchased direct from Château Musar in the 1960s
& 70s have been stored in an excellent cellar 40 Km to the North East of Beirut. The cellar was visited by Christie's Wine Department staff and conditions were confirmed to be ideal for the long term storage of wine: a constant 12-13 C with high humidity. Due to this high humidity, many of the original labels were very damp soiled and thus all of the wines were returned to Château Musar where the vast majority of the bottles have been recently re-labelled (and re-capsuled where necessary) and packed into new Château Musar cartons before shipment to the U.K.
This is a rare opportunity to taste and drink historic vintages of this unique wine.
Now lying London, S.E.1
Offered duty-paid, but available in bond
