Names and history on quilt suggest it was made between 1847 and 1850 for Anna Burn, who was presumably leaving her native Lancaster County or Cumberland County for points further. A later central inscription reads, "From Aunt Anna Burn to Ida Burn Lebman from her to Margaret Burn Gottshall. Year 1912."
