of globular form with tall slender cylindrical neck, blown and modelled glass using the powdered glass technique, the frosted grey glass flashed in pink and blue, with two applied c-scroll handles, engraved Daum Nancy with the cross of Lorraine

Lot Essay

This free-blown vase, with a wide base fluting up to a tall, slender neck, is known as a Berluze. These vases were characterised by their naturalistic flower-stalk shapes and marbled colour monochromy.
