Pauillac, 1er cru classé. Château-bottled
Lightly bin-soiled label. Level top-shoulder
Tasting note: First tasted in 1960 when though fairly full-bodied was, surprisingly for Latour, nice to drink at that age. Its strength noted through the 1960s, fine but peppery. Completely satisfactory in the early 1970s, lovely silkiness and perfect balance. Later more cedary, more earthy, some colour loss. By La Fête du Château Latour in 1981 it had a pretty colour, complex, fragrant Cabernet nose, some sweetness, flavoury. MB
