Lots 703-710 and 712 to 714 are lying London, S.E.1
Château Latour--Vintage 1970
Pauillac, 1er cru classé. Château-bottled
Bin-soiled and stained labels. Lot 703 levels base of neck or better, lot 704 levels upper/top-shoulder
Parcel: lots 703-704 Tasting note: One of the greatest clarets of recent vintages. Deep black core. Already a huge and powerful nose although still tight and yet to give its all. Massive and powerful on the palate. Tannic and structured but less austere than other great vintages of Latour due to the sheer concentration of the fruit and the weight of glycerol. Expansive and complex with great length. Still an infant - might take ten years yet to show its best.
