A GROUP OF EARLY ENGLISH SILVER SPOONS
Various dates and makers, late 17th/early 18th century
Comprising six spoons with trefid ends and rat-tail bowls, variously engraved with crests or initials, a marrow spoon, maker's mark of James Wilkes, London 1727, another spoon, probably late 17th century, with plain narrow handle and crest inside the round bowl; together with a gilt folding spoon with trefid handle, unmarked and possibly not silver.
The longest (marrow spoon), 8½in. (21.5cm.); total weight (excluding gilt spoon), 13oz. (9)
