Each with baluster-form glass jug on spreading circular foot, with silver neck mount engraved with vine work, with applied silver grapevine tendrils, the detachable cork stopper with grape bunch finial, the glass engraved with a coat-of-arms, each marked on foot, neck, grapevine, and stopper

Lot Essay

The arms are those of Denison quartering Conyngham, as borne by Albert Denison Somerville of Woodside, Wootton, Isle of Wight (1835-1903), 2nd son of Lord Albert Denison, 1st Lord Londesborough. He was married in 1873 to Louisa Crichlow, daughter of Antonio Fabris.
