Lot Essay

The design for the present lot is recorded in the archive of the Wiener Werkstätte at the Museum fr angewandte Kunst in Vienna, Me 912. An example of the lamp with original green shade but missing one of the switches, is in the permanent collection of the MAK, acquired in 1958.
