Lot Essay

Genet & Michon were almost exclusively lighting designers. They made something of a speciality of pressed glass with floral decoration from around 1920, but after 1930 their minimal metal mounts were matched by a lack of decoration in the glass.
They contributed to exhibitions throughout the 1920s and 1930s, including the International Exhibition in Paris in 1925 and also worked on designs for the ocean liner Normandie.
