Lot Essay

According to Alden this camera was a direct development of the original Auto Cine camera of 1928. Introduced in 1929 the 'B' took 30m (100ft) daylight loading spools with a redefined body shape to accommodate the larger spools. The shape was adopted in the H16 was replaced the 'B' in 1935. Three models were produced with different lenses - this example being the first model with an Hermagis fixed focus lens in non-interchangeable mounts as fitted to the original Auto Cine camera.
