with oxidised brass frame with polished arc numbered 4011 and '92'
and signed Heath & Co.Ltd.Crayford London, S.E., inset
silvered scale divided 5°- 0°- 160°, the vernier with clamp, fine
screw adjustment, swivel magnifier with wasted arm and light diffuser, telescope with front adjusting screw, seven shades, two mirrors, light wood handle with inset ivorine note plate and box securing hole, in
fitted mahogany box with push-button release, accessories and
test certificate dated 1897, the lid with inset brass plate numbered
97, the side with ivorine plate engraved THE PATENT "HEZZANINTH" SEXTANT -- 10¼in. (26cm.) wide
