A finely carved and detailed 20th Century bone model of a 106-gun First Rate
with bound masts, yards with foot ropes stun's'l booms, standing and running rigging with scale blocks, carved female warrior figurehead, rope decorated hair rails, catheads with flower, decoration anchors with bound bone stocks, belaying rails, deck rings, capstan, gratings, stove pipes, water barrels, ship's bell and canopy, well deck with carved balustrading and gratings, companionways, deck lights, upper and main deck guns and two ship's boats suspended above the well deck and many other details. The planked and brass pinned hull has extensive stern and quarter gallery carving, the main whale decorated with horizontal diamond and rope carving, open gun ports and other details, mounted in two wood cradles on an inlaid wood base with bone and wood ballustrade and four bun feet (later) (some restoration) -- 26¼ x 41in. (67.6 x 104.2cm.)

On the Friday one week after the sale, a transfer and administration charge of £17.50 per lot will be payable and a storage charge of £3.00 per lot per day will then come into effect. These charges are payable to Cadogan Tate and are subject to VAT and an insurance surcharge.
