The barque Glenara was built in 1859 and owned by Evans & Co. of Aberystwyth. Registerd at 424 tons, she measured 127 feet in length with a 27½ foot beam and traded on several routes during a varied career. Sold in 1872 and laid up in 1873, she then disappears from record, presumed broken up.
