The iron barque Lammerlaw was built for Wood Brothers of Liverpool by D. & W. Henderson at Glasgow in 1878. Registered at 781 tons (746 net), she measured 188½ feet in length with a 31 foot beam. Despite her 100A1 rating by Lloyd's Surveyors, her career was short-lived and she was reported lost, circumstances unknown, in 1882.
