A Belgian ormolu-mounted mahogany and marquetry commode
After the model by Jean-François Leleu, By Rosel, Bruxelles, 20th Century
Surmounted by a brocatelle marble top, above a scrolling foliate frieze fitted to the front with a drawer, the inside with a plaque inscribed ROSEL FABRICANT BRUXELLES, above a pair of cupboard doors centred by a losange, with a scrolling foliate handle to each corner, the sides each with fleur de lys marquetry within a rectangular frame, on four cylindrical tapering fluted legs headed by acanthus leaves, on cast sabots
