A French parcel-gilt and jewelled blue-ground Sèvres-pattern clock garniture
Circa 1880
Comprising a mantel clock and a pair of candlesticks; the clock surmounted by an urn, on a square plinth, the case centred to the top by the circular dial, the twin-train movement striking on a bell, stamped JAPY FRERES & CIE GDE MEDAILLE D'HONNEUR, above a pastoral scene, the reverse inscribed Gros bleu Gay, the rounded sides with scrolling foliage, on a shaped base, on four square and two scroll feet; the en suite candlesticks each as an urn with pine cone finial, reversing as a drip-pan with nozzle
