A Viennese silver-gilt and enamel timepiece
Circa 1880
Surmounted by a seated figure of Bacchus on a barrel, the shaped case centred by a circular silver inset dial, with enamel decoration, the Swiss cylinder movement inscribed Le Comte, the case decorated with mythological scenes, flanked to each side by lion mask handles, on four scroll feet each headed by a satyr mask, on a spreading rectangular base, each corner with a grotesque mask, above four scroll feet
7¾ in. (19.5 cm.) high
