A Viennese silver-mounted lapis lazuli, enamel and ivory casket on stand
In the Renaissance Style, Marked 'KB', Circa 1880
Surmounted by a leopard-drawn chariot with seated figures, above a timepiece flanked to each side by a classical seated figure above a spreading pediment, the front with two cupboard doors opening to reveal an interior fitted with three drawers, flanked to each side by a deep drawer, each corner with a column surmounted by a cherub riding a swan, above a frieze drawer, on four square feet; above an overhanging platform with a frieze drawer, supported by four square tapering legs joined by an 'X'-shaped stretcher, centred by a figural terminal, on four tapering feet
The casket: 16¾ in. (42.5 cm.) high; 15¼ in. (38.5 cm.) wide; 10½ in. (27 cm.) deep;
The stand: 31½ in. (80 cm.) high; 17½ in. (44.5 cm.) wide; 13 in. (33 cm.) deep
