Collation: [110; 2-910 10-188.10.10 19-218; 22-2310 248 2510 26-548 5510] (1/1 blank, 1/2r table; 2/1r prologue, 22/1r sermo 45, 55/10r colophon, 55/10v blank). 477 leaves (of 478, without the first blank). 40 lines and headline. Type: 3:100aG (text), 4:100bG (headings). Four- to eight-line initial spaces. One large decorated initial on 2/1r in shades of mauve and green with acanthus extensions into the margin including three silver balls, a narrow bar border in green and mauve cut from another book and pasted on; rubricated with red or blue Lombard initials, capital strokes, paragraph marks and underlines. Contemporary manuscript quiring of roman numerals centered in lower margins on last versos, sheets numbered in lead in the lower right corners of the rectos. Quires 19 and 20 bound in reverse order. (Some browning, faint dampstain to upper margins, the silver oxydized, 1/2 rehinged, 1/2 and 2/1 extended at lower edge and supplied from a shorter copy, 55/10 mended and reinforced affecting two words of text and four words of colophon, one small wormhole through first ca. 50 leaves touching one or two letters on each page, small wormholes to blank margins of 1/2 and 2/1, two wormholes to blank margins of last ca. 50 leaves.) Modern quarter morocco, buckram sides, preserving a number of deckle edges.

Fourth edition. The sermons of Hugo de Prato Florido, a Dominican of Florence, were very popular in the later Middle Ages. The present edition is a reprint of Husner's 11 June 1476 edition. The Sermones dominicales were also printed by Heinrich Eggestein in Strassburg, ca. 1476, and in Reutlingen by Michael Greyff, ca. 1478, as well as in a number of later incunable editions.
