Chancery 2o (278 x 200 mm). Collation: [1-28]. 16 leaves. 39 lines. Type: 3:96bG. Three-part woodcut border on 1/1r. Four- or five-line initial spaces. Unrubricated. (Some light foxing, a few small wormholes to blank margins mended on last 7 leaves.) 19th-century half roan, marbled sides.

An early book from the only incunable press at Urach. After printing at Esslingen in 1473-1479, Conrad Fyner transferred to Urach, where his activity spanned the years 1479-1485. His woodcut borders have been described as the finest of the fifteenth century and as having the delicacy of pen drawings. Two portions of the border in the present edition were repeated in Fyner's Buch der Weisheit (ca. 1482); the side and lower pieces are the same in the two editions, but the top piece is different.
