Index letters printed in margins. Types: 1:180G (title, headlines, incipits of chapters), 2:83G (text). Three- or four-line initial spaces, with printed guide-letters. Rubricated with red Lombard initials (one blue), paragraph signs and underlines. (Bifolia of first 4 quires separating at top of fold, small wormhole to extreme inner margins.) Modern calf.
Second edition of this work on the subject of prayer. The author, William of Auvergne, traditionally known as Guillermus Episcopus Parisiensis, has often been confused with other individuals of similar name.
