A Dutch colonial silver and parcel-gilt tobacco-box
Apparently unmarked, Padang, former Dutch East Indies, early 18th Century
Of oblong octagonal form, decorated with gilt floarl plaques between reeded bands, the domed cover with further plaques and floral bands, the reverse inscribed with an Arabic text and the date "1667"
