Designed by J.P. Seddon, 1865, manufactured by C. Seddon & Co. with Kendal & Co.
Pedestal base with pillared central frieze section, the whole with elaborate inlay and cast and coloured metal strapwork, the upper section with similar inlay and carved surround, tooled and coloured leather frieze, large central mirror
The base: 33¾in. (85cm.) high; 99¾in. (253.5cm.) wide; 31¼in. (80.5cm.) deep
The mirrored section: 69.1/3in. (176cm.) high; 94in. (239cm.) wide
Old paper label on reverse C SEDDON & CO. 58 SOUTH ... STREET, another paper label KENDAL & CO. NO. 07419, including workman's signature, the front edge double stamped with indecipherable circular mark
