Lot Essay

The chairs were originally designed for the Music Salon at the Mathildenhöhe Knstlerkolonie, Darmstadt, in 1905.
A similar chair is in the permanent collection of the Museum Knstlerkolonie Darmstadt. A further example is in the Städtische Kunstsammlungen Darmstadt Museum.
