The jacket, kilt and sporran are seen in a number of different versions in the illustrations included in many of the books on Nureyev. He performed the role with many different companies. The costumes here is clearly labelled National Ballet of Canada. It is not known whether it is the same as that used in Nureyev's debut with the company in 1965 or from some later production with the same company.
