the doll with fixed bright blue eyes, inset long blonde human hair with centre parting, stuffed body, wax limbs and green silk taffeta frock with underclothes, black velvet jacket, socks and flat-heeled shoes, other clothes and accessories include straw boater trimmed with wheat, brides's French ribbon, bead and net headdress, watch, necklace, hair ornaments of flowers, bone fan painted with flowers, fur muff and hat, bead purse, brushes and combs, black and white wool skirt with blue pleated hem, wool cape, muslin party frock, cotton jacket, cotton frock and companion china-headed doll in original clothes -- 16in. (41cm.) high, circa 1855 (slight melting to forehead, one thumb damaged)
