AN ARCHAISTIC JADE BELT BUCKLE AND A PORCELAIN RUYI SCEPTRE
The jade of a mottled creamy brown colour, carved in the archaistic style as a pair of confronting chilong with scrolling bodies, centering on a dragon-head terminal; accompanied by a porcelain ruyi-sceptre decorated in famille rose with lotus scrolls on a yellow ground, the ruyi-head with a celadon-glazed reticulated panel of bird and flowers, the mid-section and terminal similarly decorated with shou character and stylised lotus (ruyi sceptre not illustrated)
