Lot Essay
This landscape, showing influences of Frank O'Meara, is thought to have been painted during the artist's painting trip to Holland with her cousin, the painter Louise Jacobs in 1911. Hilary Pyle writes of this picture: 'a landscape, which has a ghost-like windmill in the distance, the shadow of a skein of trees on the horizon reminiscent of an early Mondrian drawing.'
