DE NEVSKY, 12, inserted in pre-cut window mounts with gilt borders, reddish-brown leather, metal clasp, 11 x 8 in.; with an additional cabinet card portrait by another photographer titled Sir Julius Wernher in a later hand
Provenance
Apparently purchased by the current owner from the Luton Hoo auction of Sir Julius Wernher's collection. Sir Julius' second son, Sir Harold Wernher later lived at Luton Hoo with his wife, Lady Zia, daughter of Grand Duke Mikhail Mikhailovitch of Russia.
