Rectangular box, the cover, sides and base set with six mother-of-pearl panels engraved with a pattern of circles alternating with squares and concave squares centred with gold quatrefoils and dots, four floral rosettes in the corners of the cover, the gold cagework engine-turned with horizontal wavy reeding, slightly flaring wavy thumbpiece and wavy flange
