Octagonal box, the cover, side and base panels engine-turned with vertical stripes of opposed directions alternating, within concentic coin pattern borders, reeded rims, the hinged grille pierced and engraved as a thistle's flowerhead, the inside of the cover engraved 'AD 1804'
