Geneva, circa 1820, with prestige marks and inventory number 1186, the miniature attributed to Lebelle
Rectangular box with rounded corners, the cover inset with a rectangular fixé-sous-verre miniature of a tavern scene with smoking peasants, in the manner of Teniers, the sides stamped with a frieze of honeysuckle motifs on a matted ground, the base with a rectangular gold panel stamped with mirrored harpies and foliage on a matted gold ground flanked by bands of vertical acanthus leaves and floral scrolls stamped on a matted ground, the cover, sides and base within a blue enamelled border
