The top panel richly decorated with silver and copper wire inlay around the four sides with groups of boys at play, enclosed in a frame with 'ice-plate' edge and inlaid designs of taotie masks and archaic scrolls, supported on a high waist encircled with gambolling chilong, the thickly beaded curvilinear apron carved in openwork with ruyi scrolls and inlaid with chilong and classic scrolls, the decoration extending to just below the top step of the square-section legs that terminate in scroll feet
