This drawing is number sixty-eight from the Duke of Portland "Album Unique."

The inscription on the reverse reads as follows:
"Sheyenne
Nee-hee-o-woo-tis. (the wolf on the hill) Chief of
the tribe, in a beautiful costume, holding long
and very beautiful pipe in his hand.

A tribe of 5 or 6000 residing at the
East base of the Rocky Mountains, between
the Platte and Yellow Stone Rivers.
