An impressive, Victorian silver and shakudo-work parure,
comprising: a necklace of five shield shaped graduated central panels, each set with a circular shakudo style plaque, with raised gilt and engraved birds and foliage, a large matching hinged locket pendant the central plaque with three colour decoration depicting cranes amongst lotus and repeated leaf motifs and engraved detail, a matching buckle one plaque depicting birds and foliage the other a snail and bee amongst flowers, a plaque brooch depicting quail, a bangle with twin plaques depicting storks, and a pair of matching cloak buttons, one depicting a dragonfly, the other a wasp, in contemporary fitted case.
