Painted with figures at leisure pursuits in mountain landscapes, the green ground gilt with trailing laurel entwined around a gilt ciselé band, gilt dentil rims

The present cup, cover and stand was intended for sipping a hot beverage on and off during the extended toilette made by ladies of the aristocracy.
