Each of baluster form with scrolled lotus-blossom handles issuing from female mask terminals, the neck and socle polished gold, the body of the vase painted on the front en grisaille with a ruin on a magenta-ground roundel reserved on the matte gold-ground chased overall in a scale pattern and flanked with dolphin-footed vases of fruit supported on gadrooned brackets painted in green and matte cobalt blue enriched in gilt, the back painted in matte dark green on a grey ground with an eagle with outstretched wings, its feet as a socle splitting tinto two foliate scrolls, flanked by green trophies, the lower portion similarly decorated with alternate palm leaves and anthemia, on further square black base
