Quarter-veneered and crossbanded overall, the rectangular top above a shaped rectangular writing-slope enclosing a long pigeonhole above a central drawer disguised as two drawer fronts enclosing a coffre- fort flanked by four short drawers above two sliding panels enclosing a secret compartment and a black leather-inset writing surface, above a shaped apron, the side and back similarly-decorated, on cabriole legs with pierced and acanthus-sheathed scrolled rocaille sabots.
