The later liver marble top above a palm-sheathed scrolled cartouche carved with an animal fur and a blank oval cabochon, flanked by pierced bead-and-chain scrolls, on volute-topped, palm-sheathed, scrolled cabriole legs with reeded edges and central bead-and-chain decoration, on scrolled legs headed by a large double shell, and joined by an elaborately carved pierced scrolled shell, rocaille, and acanthus stretcher, extended in depth to the reverse of the frieze with the addition of further returns later cross-strut, bearing a paper label inscribed GARDE MEUBLE/TAILLEIR FILS/2817/35
