Stamped J.L. COSSON JME, late 18th Century and embellished
The trapesoidal white marble top with a pierced three quarter gallery, the frieze with a long walnut-lined drawer flanked by two butterfly-action hinged drawers above later guilloche pattern brass inlay, on fluted legs with brass filets headed by panelled floral urn mounts, the conforming undertier with a pierced gallery, on turned toupie feet, the underside of one drawer with the pencil inscription Blanchet, replacements to carcase, brass inlay and mounts largely later
