The acanthus-sheathed and flower-encrusted, scrolled rocaille crestrail surmounted by a Chinaman, each corner set with a monkey, that of the left singing from sheet music, that on the right playing a tambourine, above a scrolled cartouche-shaped back flanked by similarly-decorated pierced crescent-shaped wings and downscrolled armrests on dolphin supports, padded back, arms, and squab-cushion covered with mocha leather, the similarly-decorated seat-rail centered by an asymmetrical shell, on cabriole legs each headed by an asymmetrical rocaille, regilt, bearing the engraved metal trade tag FROM THE COLLECTION/OF/LLOYD-PAXTON/DALLAS,TEXAS, the front seatrail with illegible red wax cachet de cire
