19th century, blue crossed swords mark, impressed 20 and 859
The shallow domed cover moulded and gilt as overlapping leaves topped by a flower finial, the shield-shaped vase with tall entwined snake handles resting above a band of rosettes, decorated in white slip with a scene of Bacchanalian revelry with two nymphs draping flower garlands on a herm, above gilt acanthus and on a flowerhead moulded socle and square base
